The GTS series seats evolved from the goal of creating a kayak seat with both rock solid support and amazing comfort, two features that don't usually go hand in hand. After many hours of testing and prototyping we accomplished that goal through our proprietary thermo molding process, resulting in what we believe to be the most technically advanced and comfortable kayak seat known to the sit on top industry.
This desirable high performance blend is achieved by sandwiching a flexible polyethylene plastic sheet between a molded EVA foam face and a 600 denier high density fabric/foam laminate back. This combination of soft and hard gives the paddler what they need: a high quality, long lasting kayak seat with firm comfortable support for endless paddling.
The GTS Airwave kayak backrest would best be described as a revolution in the kayak seating industry. The seat puts you on a cushion of air that gives the paddler incredible long-range comfort and support heretofore unheard of in the sport. The bottom portion of the backrest has a durable self-inflating twist-valve operated air bladder. The precision valve lets you micro adjust the level of padding your sitting on and it’s conveniently placed at the rear of the seat for easy access. We've designed the lower pad with a wider base, virtually eliminating any pressure points. The maximum inflation of the seat bottom can be as much as 1.5'' giving the paddler incredible comfort. Regardless of your body type or skill level, the Airwave will guarantee you better comfort and extended performance.
All of our GTS kayak seats include the following features: Deep compression molded center back panels, contoured backrests (for maximum back support), polypropylene heavy duty webbing and solid brass connecting hardware.
The GTS Hydration Pack
The GTS Hydration pack is comprised of a low profile zipper pouch that contains a 24 oz. bladder with a durable drinking hose. The hose has a self-sealing tip and comes over your shoulder from the top of the pack. This pack makes staying hydrated that much easier, and we all know how important that can be when you spend long hours on the water in the heat of the sun. Like all of our GTS packs, the Hydration Pack can be traded out for any of the other packs in the line, allowing you to customize your seat for a specific paddling experience.
Kayak Seat Rear Attachment System
We have virtually eliminated that annoying "kayak seat slippage" with our triangulated six-point rear attachment design. In this versatile and infinitely adjustable rear lock down system the paddler pulls the rear of the kayak seat from two adjustable upper points, which determine the lean, and two adjustable lower points, which combat any forward slippage. This method of counterbalancing the pull points secures the seat back to the boat and provides an extremely supportive and comfortable back plane that allows you to not only customize the position of the seat, but makes the kayak seat versatile enough to fit into the broad range of kayaks. From shallow to deep kayak cockpits we have you covered. And, in the unlikely event that you get tossed out of your kayak by an unsuspecting wave, you know that the seat will maintain its positioning thereby greatly facilitating reentry into your kayak.
