It all started with the question ''Can you make a kayak seat that will support a larger paddler for hours of paddling that looks cool and lasts for years and years'' Well we accepted that challenge and developed the Tall back thermoformed kayak seat. This kayak back support system with its comfortable ergonomic lumbar section is ideal for the tall paddler or anyone needing extra firm back support. Like all of our compression molded seats the fabric is literally welded to the foam. This welded sandwiched construction provides years of back support that is forever free of any fabric tearing or ripping that occurs with conventional manufacturing of sewn kayak seats. If it tears we will replace it... Our seats are made in compression ovens at 350 degrees of heat and 60 tons of pressure ensuring maximum abrasion resistance and longevity way beyond industry standard. The back of the seat bottom and backrest is made from rugged 600 denier fabric giving the kayak seat rigidly and durability. In contrast to that the face, or what the paddler feels on the skin, has a durable, soft, flexible licra like feel to the fabric. These durable outside ''skins'' as we call them, encapsulate the cross linked closed cell foam structure that makes the seat supportive. This Tall Back kayak seat stands a whopping 17.5'' tall and is one of the easiest to attach to your kayak. Available in Black or Tropical print.
This Tall Back kayak seat does not come with any of the optional rear accessory packs. Its an opportunity to save a little dough and get outstanding performance and comfort from our top of the line kayak seats while letting you decide what options you might want to consider later.
Any of these four different configurations can be interchangeably used with the Tall Back kayak seats: standard large fanny pack, the two-rod holding fishing pack, the waterproof dry bag or the molded foam water bottle pack.
This universal detachable pack system is available in all GTS Pro kayak seats and gives you the ability to change out to one of our other four optional storage configurations.
For the rear attachment of the seat you have the option of 1.5'' plastic side squeeze buckles, {typically for older sit on top kayak}, or the more versatile marine grade solid brass clips that fit almost any kayak decking .
